Lauren R. Crawford is a community engagement and project management professional dedicated to building meaningful partnerships that create opportunities for students, families, and communities. As Project Manager for Community Partnerships with the Charleston County School District, she develops and leads districtwide initiatives that strengthen collaboration among schools, nonprofit organizations, businesses, and civic leaders. She also oversees volunteer and mentorship programs serving more than 50,000 students across the district's 88 schools, expanding access to resources and educational opportunities.
Beyond her professional career, Crawford has established a strong record of community service and organizational leadership. She leads the St. Matthew Community Development Center and Chicora Cherokee Partnership and is actively involved with the Summerville Councilman's Ball Committee, Summerville NAACP, National Council of Negro Women, and Top Ladies of Distinction. She also serves as a board member of the WWH Homeowners Association and is a proud member of the South Carolina State University Charleston Alumni Chapter.
A dedicated servant-leader, Crawford serves as President of the Palmetto Graduate Chapter of Swing Phi Swing Social Fellowship, Inc. and as Southeast Region Strategic Planner for the organization. Her passion for mentorship inspired the creation of the Big Buc/Little Buc Mentoring Program, a partnership with the Charleston Southern University Men's Basketball Team designed to inspire, guide, and empower young people.
An entrepreneur at heart, Crawford is the owner of March Fourth Kollection, an online and mobile boutique offering distinctive merchandise and apparel for members of Swing Phi Swing and Groove Phi Groove Social Fellowships, as well as small businesses. Through the venture, she combines entrepreneurship, culture, style, and purpose.
Crawford's commitment to developing future leaders also extends to her alma mater, South Carolina State University. She sponsored 100 business blazers for students in the School of Business & Information Systems, helping students prepare for professional and career opportunities. More recently, she served as a sponsor of the school's 2026 Business Week "Quarter Zips and Matchas" event, further demonstrating her investment in student success and professional development.
A native of Summerville, South Carolina, Crawford is the daughter of Robert Crawford Sr. and the late Deborah A. Crawford. Her commitment to family, community, and service remains an important part of the foundation that has shaped her personal and professional journey.
In a fitting connection to both her entrepreneurial spirit and Bulldog legacy, Crawford was born on March Fourth, a date that inspired the name of her business and serves as a reminder to "march forth" with purpose. She also shares her March 4 birthday with the founding date of her alma mater, South Carolina State University, a connection that reflects the legacy, leadership, service, and forward movement that continue to define her journey.
