LaShae Wallace Hayes is an educational leader and professional school counselor dedicated to supporting student achievement through academic, career, and social-emotional development. As a Professional School Counselor at W. A. Perry Middle School, she provides schoolwide counseling services, leads Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) meetings, and collaborates with administrators, teachers, families, and community agencies to coordinate interventions that promote student success. She also develops data-informed counseling programs, mentors students through Individual Graduation Plans, and coordinates initiatives focused on career exploration, attendance, and test preparation.
Prior to her current role, Hayes served as a Professional School Counselor with Lancaster County School District, Academic Dean for the after-school program at Felton Laboratory Charter School, and Graduate Assistant and Professional Development Liaison at South Carolina State University. Across these roles, she supported school leadership, developed enrichment programming, collaborated with families and educators, and assisted with grant preparation, compliance reporting, and administrative operations. Beyond her work in education, she is the founder and CEO of Grief Reveals Gifts, LLC, where she provides grief counseling and community outreach. She is also the author of five published books on grief, faith, and personal development.
A graduate of South Carolina State University, Hayes earned a Master of Education in Counselor Education after completing her bachelor's degree in Sociology with a minor in Public Health at East Tennessee State University. She continues to demonstrate her commitment to students, families, and communities through educational leadership, counseling, and service.
