John P. Givens III

John P. Givens III is a construction management professional with experience leading complex commercial, educational, industrial, and mission-critical construction projects. As a Project Manager with Construction Dynamics Inc., he oversees projects from planning through execution, developing project plans, managing budgets and schedules, coordinating architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, and ensuring construction meets quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements. His current portfolio includes a $640 million mission-critical data center in St. George, South Carolina, and a $40 million elementary school in Holly Hill, South Carolina.  

Throughout his career, Givens has advanced through progressively responsible roles with Construction Dynamics Inc., Edifice General Contractors, Barringer Construction, Metcon Inc., and Fluor Corporation. He has managed or supported projects ranging from libraries and sports complexes to mixed-use developments, industrial renovations, and the V.C. Summer Nuclear Power Plant. His experience includes project planning, preconstruction, budgeting, quality control, scheduling, contract administration, and construction closeout. In addition to his professional career, he serves as a First Lieutenant and Logistics Officer in the United States Army Reserves, coordinating transportation operations and supporting military logistics.  

A graduate of South Carolina State University, Givens earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He continues to demonstrate his commitment to the construction industry and his community through professional and civic involvement, including service as a Building Board Commissioner for the City of Walterboro and participation in organizations such as the Construction Management Association of America, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the National Society of Black Engineers, and the Colleton County Alumni Chapter of the South Carolina State University National Alumni Association.
