Corey Hagans, Jr. is an instructional design and educational technology professional dedicated to enhancing teaching and learning through innovation, collaboration, and professional development. As a Learning Experience Designer in the Office of Academic Affairs at Georgia State University, he leads instructional planning and professional learning consultations with faculty, supports curriculum planning and instructional improvement initiatives, analyzes instructional data, and facilitates instructional coaching and professional learning focused on effective teaching practices, digital learning, and student engagement.
Prior to joining Georgia State University, Hagans served as a Technology & Innovation Strategist, Instructional Technology Coach, Instructional Technology Specialist, and classroom teacher across multiple school districts in Georgia and South Carolina. Throughout his career, he has coached educators, developed instructional resources, supported technology integration, managed schoolwide instructional technology systems, and delivered professional learning presentations on instructional technology and artificial intelligence. His experience also includes securing grant funding, serving as an Innovation Advisor for South Carolina State University's Call Me MiSTER Program, and contributing to the profession through committee service, peer review, and nonprofit leadership.
A graduate of South Carolina State University, Hagans earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Education before completing a Master of Education in Education Administration at the University of South Carolina. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Educational Practice and Innovation. He continues to demonstrate his commitment to advancing education by supporting educators, strengthening instructional practice, and promoting innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
